Nansen joins NEAR MPC network as one of 17 mainnet operators

Nansen said it has become one of the 17 mainnet operators in the NEAR Protocol MPC network, a decentralized network made up of reputable and independent operators. The company said the role is intended to help provide more resilient signing infrastructure and create more room for cross-chain applications to scale. The MPC network supports Chain Signatures, the signing layer behind NEAR Intents. NEAR also has a new governance and funding structure for the network after proposal HSP-007 passed. Under that change, MPC node operations move away from discretionary grants and into a standing program funded by protocol emissions and governed by NEAR token holders. According to the announcement cited by Techub, the updated incentive design is meant to give long-term funding support to infrastructure that produces critical signatures for NEAR Intents and the broader cross-chain economy.
